We have strived to provide a club that is run by its members for its members. We hope you will find everything you need to help you make the decision to join this new and friendly club. This really is a friendly community rugby club with no airs and graces. The Barbarians are always looking for new players, experienced and inexperienced.

     

We play out of the CSSC Sports Ground, Riverside Drive, Dukes Meadow, Chiswick, London W4 2SH. We are a leading Civil Service club, providing modern rugby with an unsurpassed social flavor for CSSC members. We have no affiliation with the "Civil Service RUFC" who play out of Chiswick.

 

No matter what your skill level, whether you're tall or short, thin or wide, we've got a place for you. 

Furthermore, if you're new to the game of Rugby, we've got plenty of players that will help you learn the sport and become an integral part of a winning tradition that is Barbarians! 

Our cosmopolitan mix of players fully reflects the United Kingdom today and our policy of combining teamwork and enjoyment with serious performances on the park creates a shared bond of friendship throughout the club.

Come and join our family and you'll never leave! We are a small but ambitious club and the Barbarians are proud of rugby's touring heritage and plan to uphold the tradition every year with tours to Europe at the end of season. The tours serve to give the club a real sense of unity, not to mention the chance to prove your drinking prowess against the best the continent has to offer! 

In addition to all that we plan to hold regular social events, BBQs and parties, the highlight of which will be the annual Dinner and Dance, which will round off the year, with awards and prizes in recognition of the players and members efforts throughout the season. 

    

Our Mission

The objects of the CSSC Barbarians Rugby Club shall be to develop the club in such a way that promotes team play and mutual respect for the club and all its players and members. Work together in practices and games as a competitive team for which success is measured by the quality and improvement of the team. To respect the diversity of the club along with its members in addition to promoting integration of all levels of ability. The objects of the CSSC Barbarians Rugby Club shall be to encourage and promote Rugby!
